the finest creators leaves to work in a foreign country - Why culture matter for creativity

In today’s time, many new ideas popping up, and many start-ups are in place. Not just business ideas but creativity in various fields.

We have seen that many Indian software engineers have migrated abroad (primarily the USA) from their country to work. In Silicon Valley, many tech personalities are doing another level of work in the tech field, and most of them are Indians. Past decade many Indian software engineers leave the country to work in America.

This creates an inquisitive question: why not stay in their own country and do the same level of work. Well, to answer this, we have to understand what that guy’s perspective is. The same question obviously will come to have in his mind too. But he chooses to work abroad because he finds that his talent’s value from the point of utility will be more in Silicon Valley. And no matter what we think about country, patriotism and boundaries, in reality, people prefer to work where they can find true potential (from a capitalistic point of view).

The second question you are going to ask is why not he can find his true potential here. He cannot because the way our corporate culture exists, we do not give the same level of treatment. And yeah, for sure, salaries matter for the guy who has this level of calibre. Either India has to say that we are not a capitalistic society or think socialist. These guys will stay in India if you teach them to put the country first and then think about your pocket. In that scenario, if you logically think they will work for the corporation and private companies. The level of treatment will not be satisfied here for sure. When someone visits places like Silicon Valley, they will find out that it is not about just funding but also the “culture’’. Yes, it matters a lot to retain your country’s best minds. Just think about it and ask a simple question to yourself that do we have a culture in India. Do we have that culture of innovation and creativity where students do not depend on the teachers and try to create something new, or do we just visit colleges for chit-chat daily? All of them just check out the attractive one and having gossips about endless topics?

That’s why culture matter, and we have shitty culture. Obliviously people are doing work related to research, but governments are not backing them. Innovation comes through culture, and it is the government that should bring improvements in these fields by putting lots of investment and support. You can take the example of china for that reason they have a culture of pragmatism no doubt they are state-owned, and people do not have any problem in working for the country by giving their personal ideas. If we observe the American perspective, their idea opposite of an individual wants to become a millionaire, how can I grow and become powerful? It makes confusion, but the way to see it is that if we work for ourselves, keep in mind the welfare of our family, if we work for family keeping in mind the interest of our society, if we work for the organisation, keep in mind the welfare of our world. We can develop that culture in India, but if Govt has that spirit, we can create the same structure without state ownership.

In this whole scenario, where an average Indian student is stuck? He is stuck in finding only a job. If we come to our leaders, is there anyone who inspires us to innovate some think or even if they inspire us scientifically or for creativity, not by emotions? When was the last time you got inspired by a politician in India after listening to him or observing him?  Unfortunately, we have given them a leader tag. They do not connect to creativity and develop the people's scientific, economic, and financial attitudes. Why not get enough colleges in the top universities ranks of the world. We can observe why we are not making an outstanding level of movies and content in place of rubbish romantic movies in our film industry. We have produced some but not the same as the level of our potential. It is not that we don’t have good writers or content creators. Of course, we have great content creators. They do not get that level of respect and value for their content compared to what they can get in other parts of the world with the same talent level. We have to accept this because these people do not get t what they deserve for their creativity. If you look around people and you will find that they do not get 500 rupees for their work, or maybe they are unemployed.

In today’s era of information, people give less value to country, community and boundaries etc.; they want to live a more individualistic version of life where they can keep working on their benefits. If you're going to keep your country’s best in mind, you should create a culture where people value and respect others for their values and contribution. People should give deserved money to the creators for their creativity. This is the only way to create an environment for the upcoming generation to work in their own country despite foreign job offers. At the same time, we (especially the government) should work more on familiarising school and college campuses with new and innovative ideas for a great future. The government always has to take the initiative and keep supporting the people and encourage them to prosper in what they are trying to achieve regardless of failures. It is imperative to remove the fear of loss from the mindset of people to achieve goals. We should understand that failure in our journey always tries to give us a lesson, and we should learn to not make a mistake again.
